Rising Tide Car Wash was born from a father's profound love and a family's unwavering determination to forge a brighter future. John D’Eri, alongside his son Tom, embarked on this journey inspired by Andrew, John’s son and Tom’s brother, who is a vibrant individual on the autism spectrum. They witnessed firsthand the significant employment challenges faced by adults with autism, with national statistics often painting a grim picture of underemployment and lack of opportunity.
Determined to change this narrative, John and Tom envisioned a business that could not only be profitable and sustainable but also serve as a beacon of hope and empowerment. They meticulously researched various business models, seeking one that could leverage the unique strengths often associated with autism, such as exceptional attention to detail, a strong aptitude for systematic tasks, and unwavering focus.
The car wash industry emerged as an ideal fit. It provided a structured environment, repetitive processes that could be mastered to perfection, and a clear, tangible outcome: a sparkling clean car. More importantly, it offered a platform to showcase the incredible capabilities of individuals with autism when provided with the right support and opportunities.
